This interior design project is a great example of how keeping its simple and attention to detail can maximise a limited space while remaining upbeat and appealing.
Stashh sells high end women’s fashion in a small suburban shopping complex. The challenges were the small footprint, and needing to incorporate stock storage, changing rooms, staff and client’s refreshment amenities and of course allowing the clothing to be centre stage and uncluttered. This was achieved by letting light filter in and be reflected into areas of importance. This was achieved with white walls and enormous sliding mirrors. These features were balanced with a raw concrete and timber ceiling and cement rendered floor to which both added a sense of timelessness to the space. I included a large curved wall to hide the spacious changing rooms, this also gave the room elegance by removing the “boxed” feeling from the space. With complimentary low-key fittings and highly functional yet peered back counter this space has received numerous compliments from the fashion industries sales reps and loyal returning client base. The most interesting point here the owners have not changed a thing.
